Subject and predicate

Subject: যার দ্বারা sentence এর কাজ সম্পন্ন হয় তাকে বলে subject. অন্যভাবে, sentence এ যার সম্বন্ধে কিছু বলা হয় তাকে বলে subject.( উদ্দেশ্য)

Predicate: Subject সম্বন্ধে যা কিছু বলা হয় তার সব হলো predicate( বিধেয়)

Example:

Subject                                   Predicate

I                                                                       read in this school.

They                                                                know me.

She                                                                  dances.

This                                                                  is a toy.

Man                                                                 is mortal.

We                                                                   have a cow.

Mother                                                            cooks rice.

উপরের example গুলো থেকে নিশ্চই দেখেছ যে predicate এর আওতায় object, complement, verb--- সবই পরে।

বাড়ির কাজঃ

a)      He runs a business.

b)     I do my own work.

c)      Bees store honey in the bee-hives.

উপর    উপরের বাক্য গুলো থেকে subject এবং predicate আলাদা করে খাতায় লেখ।
